We appeared on the radio show called "Sunday Ranking" on March 8th.
We aired a special program
because March 11, 2015 marked 4 years since the devastating earthquake in northeastern Japan.
Musicians who appear on the show regularly, got together and heard stories of listeners and
those who still live in shelters.
So many listeners sent messages to Fukushima AM.
Thank you all for your heartfelt words.
Of course, we sang songs for Fukushima.
I was glad to listen to other artists' performances
as we usually don't appear on the show all together at one time.
We chose our original song called "Be Alive" here.
(English Version)
We also wrote messages for Fukushima.
I wrote "Be Alive" because I appreciate the many encounters I have with my family, friends, and people like you (through music).
I would like to call this experience a 'miracle', thank you so much.
I will continue to make you cheer up. Hopefully you will receive this message!
What each can do is limited, but we can support each other and I believe we can do something to help strengthen and encourage for people who need to have a resilient spirit and fight against all odds.
The "Starting Over" is the fifth track on my cover album called "Yoko no Yougaku ~80's Cover Songs~ ". Watch the video and download the full album now on iTunes!
We appeared on the radio show called "Sunday Ranking" in Fukushima, Japan last Sunday.
Thank you all who listened to our radio show and who came to the studio at Fukushima AM!
In the begging of the show, we played a cover of "Thinking Out Loud" by Ed sheeran.
I love his songs and listen to his new album called "X" almost every day. His guitar playing and his voice always cheer me up.
This time around, the topic of the show is
"Who is your sports hero?"
I chose Olympic figure skating gold medalist Yuzuru Hanyu and Tatsunori Hara who is a professional baseball manager in Japan. Besides them, I have so many athletes I wanted to pick as my heroes, such as Kei Nishikori(tennis player) and Yukiko Ueno(softball player).
Surprising thing happened during the show!
I got a Valentine's day gift from Nakko( personality of this show)
I love marshmallows, so cute! Thanks Nakko!
At the end of the live show, we performed our original song called "Be Alive"
Actually, we wrote the song right after the 2011 great northeastern earthquake in Japan to help give strength and encouragement. This song is not only for Japanese people, but also for others all over the world who need to have a resilient sprit and fight against all odds.
Here is the song "Be Alive"
It's the English Version
After the show, we happened to meet cool musicians!
Hanao (far left) is a lead vocalist of "TAIYOUZOKU(punk/rock band)"
Yoshiki Takagi (far right) is also a lead vocalist of "THE MASSMISSILE(punk/rock band)"
They appear on the radio program and have some live concerts in Fukushima too.
The woman on the lower right is Shiho Yagi who is an announcer of Fukushima AM, she introduced them to us.
Here are Gifts from our super fan!
Key ring of a famous anime character these days in Japan
It's on the red cow called "Akabeko" which is a traditional toy in Fukushima prefecture.
and...
strawberries!!!
Soooo beautiful!!
So many fruits, vegetables and rice are harvested in Fukushima.
We should appreciate and pass on this beautiful mother nature to the next generation.
I'm going to Fukushima next month too!
Hope you enjoy our songs and radio show again!
Last but not least...

Last Sunday, Jan 18, we appeared on the radio show in Fukushima.
The radio show is called "Tezuka & Nakko Sunday Ranking"
(手塚とナッコのSunday"卵→KING" : Tezuka to Nakko no Sunday ran king)
Don't mistake me for the person second from the right,
She's Nakko who is MC for this show. I'm third from the right!
Mr. Tezuka (far right), the announcer of the radio program mistook me for her:(
Actually I dyed my hair pink a couple of years ago.
By the way, at the beginning of the show, we play a cover song called "Shake It off" by Taylor Swift.
She is one of my favorite artists and this tune is pretty cool, not to mention popular.
Also, Stacie Gold(an American figure skater) uses it on her exhibition this season. I love her performance, too!
You know, I posted this cover (performed by myself) on Youtube here:)
Don't miss it!
Differently from the original song, I started the first verse slowly, and stepped up the tempo on the second verse.
Hope you will enjoy;)
During the show, we played our original song called "Overcome Pain"
and after the show "Simple Star" for the audience who came to the studio at Fukushima AM.
Thank you all for coming to the studio in spite of the snowing that day!
And thank you all for sending me comments and messages on Twitter or Facebook or blogs.
Your words always make me feel warm inside.
Actually, I still get nervous when I perform on the radio show because it's broadcast live across the whole of Fukushima prefecture and even all over Japan via Radiko.
I'll keep improving my performance skills. I'll NEVER give up.
Outfits today;)
Green sweat shirt : tip top
skirt : AS KNOW AS PINKY
In Japan, the flu is going around now. So scary...
Take care!
